Ismail Diab was born on the fourteenth of December of the year 1936 in the city of Ismailia. He belongs to a simple family, like most Egyptian families. He has eight siblings, the most famous of whom is the writer Mahmoud Diab. Talent flirted with him since childhood. After obtaining his high school diploma in 1958, he moved to join the Faculty of Fine Arts, graduating in 1962 from the Department of Photography, after which he worked in several Egyptian press institutions as a press illustrator
