Raghda Hafez (b. 1951, Syria) is a seminal contemporary Syrian painter, who currently lives and works in Egypt. She is a self-taught artist and began drawing and painting when she was a child. She has become a professional in creating art work, sketching, and portrait painting since she was a teenager. Raghda studied fine arts privately and portrait genre of painting was her topic of interest because a well-executed portrait is expected to show the inner essence of the subject
